Our creative team plays a large role in the work we do. From designing websites to logos to publications, they do it all. This month our graphic designer, Ryan Kidd, is celebrating his one-year work anniversary. To celebrate, we put him in the spotlight by asking him questions to get to know him a little better.

What are your hobbies?

Ryan: I enjoy hiking, biking, paddle boarding and playing video games. Technology interests me, so I’m a fan of tinkering with and building computers!

Why did you decide to become a graphic designer?

Ryan: My dad was a web designer, so I had access to software to mess around with in high school. I started learning some of the software early on, and after taking a graphic design class in high school, I realized it was something I wanted to pursue further.

What is your favorite movie?

Ryan: Interstellar, hands down. It makes you think, even after the movie is over.

What aspects of your job make you feel most accomplished?

Ryan: Getting a project right on the first attempt is always a good feeling! But I always feel accomplished when I get to learn new software or techniques that I can apply to future design work.

What is on your bucket list?

Ryan: Mostly travel destinations – I’d love to visit as many of the National Parks in the U.S. as possible.

What are your favorite design projects to work on?

Ryan: I’ve always enjoyed the logo creation process or doing small illustrations/icons for different projects. These types of projects have so many different possible approaches, and it is fun to explore the various routes that the illustrations or logos can take.
