Scandinavian Forestry Equipment (SFE), a specialized distributor and sales leader of equipment for modern forestry and construction applications, recently approached GRIT to redesign the company’s website for better performance, accessibility, and a modernized overall look and feel. In partnering with our team on this redesign project, SFE was specifically seeking to hone their web presence in a way that would generate more leads for both equipment sales and service requests while also providing a login-only area where existing customers could pay invoices.

Developing a Shoppable Experience to Make Equipment Purchases Seamless

Although SFE encourages customers to visit its physical locations—and those of its associated dealers—to see and test drive equipment in person, company leaders recognized that many of their potential customers in the construction and forestry industries today start their equipment purchasing process online. To accomplish the goal of increasing sales leads, the GRIT team undertook a significant overhaul of the way each piece of new and used equipment for sale is presented on the site, essentially creating an e-commerce experience with an easy-to-shop store structure to showcase equipment. Product category pages with useful sort options based on many specifications now lead to visually striking product detail pages where prospective customers can complete a request for a price quote.
