Creating Fundraising Campaign Materials with Purpose and Possibility
When LHM Social Services Foundation approached GRIT to support the launch of Horizons, their transitional housing program and an accompanying fundraising campaign to support this vital resource, they were preparing to introduce something entirely new to their organization and supporters. The goal was twofold: to establish a clear visual and narrative identity for the program and to equip the LHM Foundation team with the tools needed to confidently communicate the impact of Horizons, both in person and online.
GRIT partnered with LHM Foundation to develop the visual positioning for Horizons within the broader LHM Social Services Foundation brand. This included creating a distinct text-based logo treatment for the program, designed to feel connected to the overarching brand while still standing on its own. Our team also provided visual identity development support for the volunteer Beam Teams, another LHM Foundation focus area, ensuring visual consistency across initiatives while allowing each to serve its own purpose.
Bringing the Horizons Story to Life in Print and Online
To support major gift conversations, GRIT guided the structure and design of a fundraising brochure that helped translate giving levels into tangible outcomes. Donation tiers were intentionally framed around real-world impact, connecting dollars to people, needs, and possibilities, while bold stat callouts reinforced the urgency and mission behind the campaign. Every element was designed with usability in mind, supporting natural flow and conversation during donor meetings.
Professional photography played a key role in the campaign’s storytelling. With the Horizons facility just beginning to take shape at the time, GRIT developed creative approaches to bring the space to life, capturing its potential and helping supporters envision what the program could become.
To extend the campaign digitally, GRIT also supported the addition of Horizons content to the LHM Social Services Foundation website. By leveraging the new program branding, photography, and messaging, we helped create an adapted online storytelling experience that aligned with the organization’s existing site structure and capabilities, ensuring Horizons felt fully integrated across both print and digital touchpoints.
