More on Maura

What is your favorite meal and/or snack food?

My favorite meal would have to be a delicious sandwich. I am definitely easy to please and a good sandwich will make me happy at any point in time during the day. It certainly wouldn’t hurt to add avocado, though. Oh, and Martin’s Kettle Cooked Potato Chips on the side!

What is your favorite York destination?

My favorite York destination would have to be New Grounds Roasting Company. I am a HUGE coffee lover and they always have different types to try. It’s unique and very comfy inside, so when there’s a chance to grab a book and a cup of coffee, I’m there.

What activities do you enjoy and why?

If you look up the word ‘busy’ in the dictionary, more than likely, you will see my picture. I love meeting people, so I pile a lot on my plate for more opportunities. I am extremely passionate about music; I sing every chance I get and have played piano for nine years. In addition to singing, I’m very involved in the worship arts in my church which provides me many opportunities to broaden my experience in music. And, of course, I’m also extremely close to my family. I love getting the chance to have a weekend by the pool with my parents, younger sister and my two crazy dogs, Harley and Cooper.

What are you most passionate about professionally?

I have a passion for people. Nothing excites me more than meeting someone new, making a connection, and learning his or her story. Each day should bring something or someone new and worth learning about, and I am looking very forward to growing in this field and working toward my career.
