What We’re Looking For

Our next Marketing Strategist/Account Manager will manage and grow strong, lasting relationships with our valued clients. The ideal candidate will have an established track record of helping brands achieve their ROI and brand awareness goals through development and execution of strategic multi-channel marketing initiatives. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of client accounts and projects including coordinating with the GRIT team for execution as well as creating and maintaining project timelines and budgets. We’re seeking a self-motivated individual who can show proactive leadership traits and constantly develop fresh, innovative ideas for our clients. This is a customer-facing position – you must be comfortable talking to clients and managing a project from start to finish. We’re looking for a hard worker who is fast on their feet and can quickly accomplish tasks.



  • Maintain and grow strong client relationships. We work with so many amazing organizations of all sizes. The successful person in this role will bring a passion for making an impact with their approach to client relationship management every day.
  • Own the work. Manage the strategic marketing planning process on behalf of clients including working with the creative, digital and communications teams to create and execute high-quality efforts that deliver results.
  • On time, on budget, no surprises. A key part of success in this role is helping maximize each client’s resources to achieve their goals and ensuring we deliver on the promises we make.
  • Always be willing to dig deeper. Strategy drives everything we do at GRIT and being ready to ask questions of our clients to understand the “why” and identify goals for each project is a priority. It starts with preparing for and leading discovery with subject matter experts and tapping into market research to capture insights to guide a successful strategic approach.
  • Develop strategy that hits the mark. This includes the ability to guide marketing strategy with an understanding of how audience, channel and purpose must impact the end delivery. From helping shape a brand’s foundational story and value proposition to developing direction for collateral, websites, video, social and more, the ability to strategically lead campaigns and projects is key.
  • Execute with purpose. While developing strategic multi-channel campaigns will be central to this position, equally as important will be an ability to dig in and get the work done. This includes managing projects from start to finish ensuring every deliverable is client-ready and up to GRIT’s high standards.
  • Dig into the data to measure results. This includes working with clients to define success measurement and collaborating with the GRIT team to capture the data, dive into the metrics and report on results.
  • Support client growth. This role will be an advocate for the client, always listening to uncover how GRIT can best support changing business needs and goals. This includes leading the process to develop proposals for new partnership opportunities.
  • Be a team player. The results we achieve together as a team is a key part of what sets us apart at GRIT. We celebrate successes and lift each other up. This position will be the client’s liaison to tap into our collective talent and put the right strategies to work to make an impact.



  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field.
  • 5-10 years working experience in multi-channel strategic marketing. Some agency experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective internal and external relationships and influence change.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with the ability to manage multiple, priority assignments in which cross-functional teamwork and initiative is paramount to achieving success.
  • Demonstrated experience in successful marketing strategy creation for B2B and B2C businesses.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for clear and concise client correspondence and presentations as well as a proven ability to direct and provide feedback for multi-channel communications for advertising, blogs, video, web, social, email, etc.
  • Team-oriented approach with the ability to work both independently and in a highly collaborative environment with clients and team members in a manner that leads to successful experiences for all parties.
  • Self-directed, positive attitude, strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize, respond to pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge and experience with:
    • Marketing automation tools and platforms
    • SEO, SEM/Google Ads
    • Email marketing
    • Social media (paid & organic)
    • Website strategy, planning and management
    • Traditional advertising & media channels
