The GRIT team is dedicated to improving the community in which we live. We believe in staying connected and involved by offering our time and expertise to non-profit organizations, each striving to make a difference to the population it serves. The GRIT Grant Program was established in 2008 to provide non-profits with the opportunity to access quality design, strategic marketing plans and promotional materials to help them achieve their goals.

The GRIT Grant Program donates a total of $10,000 each year to local non-profits (two non-profit organizations are awarded a $5,000 grant each). Recipients must be of 501(c)3 status and located in the South Central PA region, including the following counties: Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, York, Franklin and Fulton.

Application Deadlines

One $5,000 grant is awarded in the spring and one in the fall to the winning non-profit organizations. Application deadlines are February 18th for the spring grant and June 15th for the fall grant. Winning organizations are notified by the 15th of the following month.

Application Scoring

Entries are scored by an independent board of individuals from the York, Lancaster and Harrisburg areas. Judges will score applications by the following: project definition, demonstrated value and previous agency experience. The board will submit the top three recommendations to GRIT.

Key Points to Include
